The story is the 32 pages plus five public badges. There is no separate cutscene in the notes.
Who you are
WELCOME, FIELD AGENT calls the player Agent 52, status active, objective to solve the mystery of the bear. Order of the S.T.A.R. is the later badge for the bunker itself. Bell Ringer is only the bell.
What the lab did
Collected lines say oxygen in the system caused phenotypic changes, Test Subject 1238 grew in size, strength, and hunger, and Patient Zero used to be a mother. A family portrait line says they used to be good and happy. Another line says all they feel is hunger. People in the notes start wanting to become bears as the condition spreads. An oyster mushroom is written as a possible weakness. No crafted cure uses that line. Experiment 14 says smaller bears, called Boo Boo Bears, are harder to cure.
The Indestructible page, in the deepest mine, says they can never be truly destroyed and speaks of reconstitution and dissolution. That is why a gun fight and a lore page can disagree without one of them being a typo. Combat notes still list hit points. The story says destruction does not stick.
What the bunker actually gives you
Early notes push a search for a cure. The terminal does not hand out an antidote. It accepts the 32 pages, awards Order of the S.T.A.R., resets the pages, and turns the agent into a bear. Reports split on $500 Cash versus 500 Prestige and on 10 versus 14 minutes. Either way, the ending on record is the transformation, not a cleared map.
The Hatch egg and the 2025 Eggpril Fool's badge are side catalog entries. They are not pages in this story.
