FAQ

Deep mines questions

How do you become a bear in MEDVED?

Collect all 32 pages, ring the Star Maze bell to open the bunker behind the statue, and turn the pages in at the Star Lab terminal, then use the Bear Mushroom. Reports give the form as 10 minutes or 14 minutes.

Does the taser work on every bear?

No. It trips ordinary bears, the Tall Bear, Papa Bear, and tiny bears in the notes that mention them. It does not stop the Maze Bear, the Ghost Bear, or the Grinder Bear.

How many lore pages are there?

32. The Page Tracker in the shop is listed at $400 Cash. Submitting the set at the terminal resets the counter.

Can you kill the bears for good?

A mine page says they can never be truly destroyed. Guns and health bars are still recorded for fights such as the Ball Bear and the 2,000 HP Grinder Bear. A knockdown is not the same claim as a permanent kill.
